Design Board Thursday #3

Happy Thursday! I am extremely excited this Thursday since my hubby will be coming home tomorrow. He’s been in Florida all week for business and though I have been focusing more on blogging at night time since I don’t have my best friend to hang out with, I totally miss him!

So today I am sharing all about a Rustic Dining room with green serene walls. I started my inspiration from the color by going to Benjamin Moore paint and choosing a lovely color to start off the entire space. Not really knowing what kind of room I was going to design or really what style. It just comes to me I guess…and it usually leans towards the rustic style (what can I say I’m just drawn to it).

Any how the color inspiration is here..

it’s called High Park…like I said a really serene looking green. I myself probably will never paint my walls green…I am more a green accent kind of girl, so I wanted to start with something totally different than what  I would do in my own home. Make me feel like I am officially working with a client, choosing something outside my comfort zone and running with it.

Well, I can’t say all of the inspiration was totally out of my comfort level. I totally picked rustic furniture that I would have in my house if I could afford it. You know not actually DIY something…just load of up the shopping cart, enter the digits on my card, hit submit and not twinge about it because my bank account can totally afford it. lol

So the buffet/hutch that I added here is actually my dream buffet. I want this one so badly, but without the hutch since my dining room is way too small it would totally over crowd it. The chandelier and the chairs I actually already had in my olio file since I chose those pieces for my clients dining room.

So here it is the inspiration for the week…

I know you now want that same hutch..right? It’s that stinkin’ gorgeous!

What do you think of the area rug? approve of it? I was a little torn here and wanted to not do something super neutral. Something that added a little contrast and felt a little more eclectic. The chandelier and the blue print of that farmhouse are perfection for a farmhouse rustic space!

Here are some great accessories to finish off the space.

Here is a great set of blue dishes from Pottery Barn, that I think will pick up those blue accents in the rug. Something unexpected. You know you can always go with my favorite and do white.
