Top 10 Posts of 2017

What a blessed year 2017 was! When I think back on how we started the year…planning to move, to then it never happened, to now being here another year with a totally different look at it all. It was a very discouraging winter in 2017 as we thought we would be starting a new chapter in a new home…but God always knows best. That chapter ended quickly and we flipped the page to maybe the best journey yet. Quitting my job!!!! I know I talk about it a lot around her, but to pray for that for so long and then to see it happen is just how God wanted it. It made me even more grateful to be home and having my dream job, and allowed me to look at things differently. Don’t get me wrong buying a new home is still on my hopeful list but I think God knew this had to come first and that wasn’t going to be possible if I bought a bigger home with a bigger mortgage. Life is still tough because having your own business where you don’t know how much money you are going to bring in, is not easy…but living each day with faith and feeling positive that it is all going to work out. Now, before we move on and look forward I want to look back at what made 2017 great here on the blog. I’ve rounded up some of my top posts this year along with some of my blog friends in the Top 30+ Home and DIY  posts of 2017  hosted by my friend Cami from the amazing blog Tidbits. Be sure to pin some of these projects and ideas to save for this year.

#1 DIY Tile Tabletop

Not only did this seem to be the favorite post this year, it was my favorite project too. We had a few hiccups during this one, but I could not be more happy with how it turned out. If you have an outdated patio table…this project will save you money and help give you a stylish new patio table to impress your guests this Summer. You won’t believe the BEFORE photo!

#2 Top 10 Farmhouse Kitchens on a budget

This is a fabulous post because it shares some of the best Farmhouse Kitchens in the blog world. All of these kitchens were done on a budget and you can see not only the fabulous “AFTER” photos but also the “BEFORE” photo.

 #3 Fall Tour Farmhouse Decor

I love the Fall and decorating for it and sharing ideas here is one of my favorite things to do. See my home become cozy with these Fall touches.

#4 Book Page Magnolia Wreath

So, I can not take credit for this one…this was done by my friend Erika. After helping her with some of her decorating this past year she wanted to add a blog post to my page. I just LOVE this project and how she decorated with it in her home.

#5 10 Trends of Christmas Decorations 2017

Did you know that Christmas decorations also have their trendy spotlight? I shared what was on trend this year for Christmas and what wasn’t…it was a fun post and I LOVE what was “popular” this year.

#6 Fall House Tour 2017

You all must just love these tours as much as I do because this Fall tour was another favorite this year. I just adored this mantel and the DIY velvet pumpkins in these romantic shades.

#7 Neutral Vintage Christmas Living Room

For Christmas this year I went Neutral and teamed up with some great brands. I worked with Kirklands on this post and decorated my New family room with some natural and neutral touches.

#8 Vintage Cottage Living Room Makeover

This post was a favorite of mine because I truly love the new look of my family room. This space is small and a little awkward but I still wanted it to feel pretty and functional for us. I got this beautiful new IKEA Farlov Sectional and lot of white paint and made this room have a vintage cottage feel.

#9 European Farmhouse Living Room

After not moving this year, you can tell I needed a little makeover to make me love my home again. The front of the house living room got a new makeover with some beautiful furnishings from Raymour and Flanigan. I ended up switching a few more things in this room after the post, but I just LOVE this room now.

#10 French Cottage Master Bedroom Reveal

Another necessary room makeover this year was our Vintage French Farmhouse master bedroom. With some added character like the floor to ceiling board and batten, some pretty floral wallpaper, and this show-stopper chandelier…this is now a dream bedroom.
