Let’s take a first walk through my Fall House Tour 2017!
I can’t believe I am saying this, but welcome to my first Fall House Tour of 2017!!! Fall, is one of my favorite times of year with the crisp air, the cozy sweaters, the changing leaves, and of course prettiest decorations. I love a clean simple home in Summer…but nothing better then to get the home all cozy for the cooler months ahead with extra layers of blankets and pillows and the smell of burning candles. I am so excited and grateful to be on this Fall House Tour all arranged by the wonderful Marty, from A Stroll Thru Life. If you are stopping by and joining me after stopping at the lovely Thrifty and Chic , welcome. I am so glad you are here!
I think for 2017 for what I am seeing is definitely a transition in the color decor for Fall. Generally it has been neutrals or the traditional colors, but from what I have seen the unconventional colors such as blues, pinks, purples, and metallics are taking front seat for the Fall 2017 trend. Today, I’ll be sharing my newly decorated Family Room with it’s romantic blush and cranberry color scheme. I decided to go for a vintage vibe with a non-traditional color scheme. I was trying to go outside my comfort level with color, but sticking with an elegant pallet.
I think what is most exciting about this room makeover, is that I no longer have our TV over our Mantel. It seriously has made me such a happy lady! I love to have a full mantel to work with and not have the distraction of the TV above it. This gold mirror pairs perfectly with the vintage vibe of the space.
I created some DIY velvet pumpkins for our mantel, with some fabric I picked up from Hobby Lobby, which was a fun little project to do..and super easy!
I am especially loving these dusty rose linen pillow covers that I got from, from House of Pure Linen. The quality is amazing and the color is exactly what I was envisioning for this space.
This silk floral arrangement I found at Pier 1, was the perfect way to tie together the look of the room.
This adorable pillow from PCB Home, says it all! It certainly is cuddle weather!
Onto the Kitchen, which I have more I will be sharing next week. I did do a simple table setting and added some Fall touches to this little nook.
I added some walnuts and yogurt glasses with tapered candles to the table. I filled the yogurt jars up with some green lentils for color.
I especially love lighting the candles this time of year, it adds that special ambiance to any room.
