Rustic Global Dining Room

I don’t know what better way to name this space then Rustic Global Dining Room. As you are all familiar with my farmhouse style, I still like to think outside the box…especially when it comes to my design boards. This one I kind of just rolled with as I went along. Starting with a chalkboard wall and then adding gray tones and blue and white pottery to, and a gorgeous metallic globe light fixture. I think I would like to consider the space more of a dramatic dining nook. OB-dining room global meets rustic

With the two large cabinets I wanted to add a smaller round table to the space having the cabinets be the drama in the room. And what better way to highlight drama then with a chalkboard wall behind it.

The colors and tones in this space have great contrast and a gorgeous blend of style.

So how to achieve a rustic global space in your own home?

I combined some ideas of rustic and global looks that pair well together. Maybe I leaned a little on the Rustic side, but I always will : ) Jut adding some artwork and maybe a few accessories or a grand light fixture that can go either way is what will truly give you a Rustic Global dining space.

Also, keep things neutral and add one or two pops of color of choice. With global design you can really go in any color direction, but I tend to usually stick with blue’s and greens when adding color. Just try not to over due the color or you will for sure run the rustic vibe out of the room. Another great way to add some global touches are mixing some metallic as well. I think any style can be combined as long as the color scheme works and the pieces you choose in the space make you happy. Never settle on anything in the room. I always choose pieces that I love.
