Top 5 Home Trends for 2024

I am already thinking about what is coming this next year in interior trends. 2024 I think we are going to see some more vintage, more bolder interiors, and keep enjoying the maximalist style. Here are some decor ideas I think we are going to be seeing more of in 2024.

Top 5 Trend ideas for interiors in 2024

Mirrors: Not only do I think mirrors are an amazing accessory and a good one (vintage) can certainly add extra style to any space, but I think mirrored walls are back! I am seeing the mercury glass mirror tiles and backsplashes, entry walls, fireplace surrounds, and so much more! We had thought about doing an accent like this in our shower but was deterred by the upkeep with water. I still think it would of looked amazing!

Stained Glass: A nod to the past and traditional look we are seeing more stained glass touches. I love the idea of adding an old stained glass window to a new home…or really accenting a stain glass window in an older home.

murals: Mural wallpaper has been around forever and we started seeing this trend again in 2021 but I think we are going to see even more spaces with mural wallpaper in 2024. Bathrooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways…and so much more! I have vision of a mural wallpaper in my upstairs foyer and haven’t quite made the bold decision to order some yet.

Brown Interiors: Another trend we started to see emerge in 2021/2022 but brown has caught on and I think we are going to see more bolder, deeper, brown interiors. Though I think all moody colors are still popular choices today brown is a color we are also going to see in upholstery and textiles.

More collected curated spaces: The personalized look is something that not just skilled interior designers and artsy people will have in their homes for 2024. The masses are catching on and I think its amazing! I always say put in your home what you truly love and by creating a collected look of found items especially vintage will certainly welcome a eclectic space of true collected treasures that looks and feels like you!

    1. I think most designs you are going to see this year is more is more..a collectors feel. But you don’t need to follow trends to design your home how you want. If you like minimalism then do that!

  1. This blog just makes me melt with pleasure when I read it. I have always enjoyed the neutral look but could never get it accomplished in my own home. I love color too much and and the curated look is very comforting and nourishing to my decorating senses. I just love textiles, color, brass, and deep colors too much. Each of your reveals is more exciting than the last. I enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! And thank you!
