Hello Friends, I am sorry I have been so MIA this week. We had this crazy storm that hit us here in Jersey last Monday and lost power until Thursday and cable did not return until Friday. It was definitely a week I lost my patience more than once, felt defeated, and also decided that maybe it was God telling me to take a rest. I don’t do well with resting and being still though. Even when I’m sick I like to be in control and productive…so letting go of the control of my week was something I had to do. I couldn’t control the electricity or the extra hectic that hit with kids being home from camp and Dr visits…so I took moments to embrace the simplicity of the week and that work just wasn’t going to get done. I was also late getting this post up today because I slept in, cleaned up, and ran off to church. But sometimes I think things work out because the service was exactly what I needed today and it gives me a chance to share with you all too. It was about praising the Lord in the storm. He knows the outcome and many of us are battling storms big or small…like my “storm” this week. But praising him in the midst is where he wants us to be. Not to cave into fear or the uncontrollable circumstances, but to praise him and “sing a Hallelujah”. If you haven’t heard that song yet my friends…go give it a listen. It certainly hit me hard today and I am grateful that I don’t need to give into fear and I can stand or sit here and just praise him for his works and what he is doing in the in-between. This week we have a another guest visitor for Welcome Home Sunday, my friend Kim from Salvaged Living and we are excited to share our roundup of posts. Have a blessed week!

Omg Deb I don’t know if all churches did the same thing yesterday or we go to the same church and just never ran in to each other!! That song was a good one definitely what I needed to start my week!
