Fall 2022 HOME STYLE

I know, I know don’t be mad summer people, we have to start doing it, and that’s talk about Fall! I don’t want summer to end at all, but I will say I came across one of my Sylvie candles last night (which we will be pouring next week) and I was getting just a tiny bit excited for fall. But a tiny bit…I really want summer to last, I kind of wish I can start again almost. But, fall is my most exciting time in the home. I love how our home feels in the fall and decorating for the fall might be the most exciting. So, let’s talk a little bit about Fall 2022 and what to expect for your fall home style this year.

Decrorting for fall 2022 tips!

Let’s start with tips that I suggest you start with to transition your summer style to your fall style.

#1 Dried florals will carry into the new fall season, we have seen it done before, but it’s one of the easiest and cheapest ways to go from your fresh greens for summer to your dried florals for fall. I love this one since I kill everything so dried florals always work for me.

#2 Earthy tones are going to be big and that means embracing some moodier ones too like BROWN! Yes, brown is back and I think that means we might even see some richer darker wood tones too. Don’t be afraid to find furniture that might lean towards those darker stains again and dark wood bowls and serving trays.

#3 Warm colors. Yes, earthy, deep, dark, and classic. I see red making a big return in accessories this season, mustard, terracotta, and contrast that with some fresh green (less gray more fresh). I’m thinking classic French tones.

#4 Pattern play, get your home cozied with patterns this season. Think of adding a warm pattern to your curtains, pillows, bedding, etc. Be bold and traditional when thinking of patterns to try.

#5 Texture- adding layers of sherpa, plaster, velvet, linen will certainly bring your home those cozy feels without feeling too forced. Mix your texture and be bold with it.

#6 Candles will make all the difference I mean I had one sniff of my Sylvie the other day and immediately my brain went to cozy. For someone who never wants fall to leave that sensory totally transformed the way I thought about my space. So, definite take a look at our fleur & flame shop for fall scents, starting with our Prew (European Fig) that launched yesterday, a great transitional fragrance for summer to fall.

NOT ready yet??? That’s totally okay, save this for later so you can come back and add layers of Fall when you are!

  1. I do so love the moody interiors! I’m working on my shop and can’t wait to get going!! It’s been so HOT her I’m longing for FALLLLLL!!

  2. I love that some of the coziness of the 80’s is coming back. I always like the set of the show Family Ties. They did cozy 80’s right by using antiques and blue and greens and earthy tones.

  3. FALL is my favorite time next to Christmas and Spring. Summer not so much because I am not good at heat situations the older I get. But FALL wish it was all year round for me living in the Deep South ???????????? LOVE THE PICS and the Fig Candle is sounding yummy❤️❤️
