Simple Easter Table

Easter, ahhh that makes spring feel official! I love this time of year, especially when the weather is cooperating. We had such a beautiful weekend here in NJ, so I decided to get out in the shed and clean up the Christmas decorations-yes you heard me right! It was too cold of a winter to remove any of it, so to take the rest of the “winter” and decor down and start to plan for spring in the Garden shed, was like the best feeling EVER! So, I decided to put together a little Easter feel, that feels fresh and French. After all we will be hosting for Easter this year, and I think having a spot decorated in the shed will be adorable to sit and eat.

I decided for this look to not go for an overly dressed table. I really love simplicity when it comes to table styling and so I kept with just a sweet centerpiece of grocery store flowers (my favorite) and some duck eggs from our backyard (which we don’t eat, but will be fun to dye this year). With the “casual” feel of the shed I just pulled some of my favorite Lenox white dishes out and thinking “brucnhy” feel with some simple glassware. Over the years our Easter’s have become more casual and as of last year we took on the tradition of hosting here. I’ve been dreaming of hosting out in the European she-shed so this will be the first trial!

What you will need:

Starting the table without any dishes to keep for a beautiful centerpiece for everyday during spring. Add a few ducklings and it becomes super charming and cute!

I chose a pop of yellow as my Easter color, but you can go for pinks or blues…I just think there is something so sweet against the green walls and to match our little duckling friends.

Time to add some dishes and utensils to the table before guests arrive!

I kept with neutrals with all the pops of yellow, it feels fresh and simple!

I love the two heights of the flowers and the bowl, you can add orange juice to the bottle or even some fresh fruit floating in water. A striped napkin could be cute and even a table runner!

Hope this inspires you for Easter entertaining! If you could please pin and save for later!

  1. I love it all so much. I had to stare at the first pic for 5 mins. Stunning composition Deb. I like the soft colour of the yellow bowl. Just a hint of colour. I did my Easter center piece today. It was fun playing. I change what I do every year. This year I did a simple white footed bowl from WS, layer in some natural excelsior and loaded in a bunch of egg boxes I have painted through the years. All soft colours. Happy Spring sweet friend!
