Valentine’s Day Centerpiece
I thought about not decorating this year for Valentine’s day and just maybe add some pretty flowers to the kitchen until I came across this amazing basket that I knew I had to have and got my wheels turning! I was so excited when Jennifer from Town and Country Living invited me to be part of this great group of blogger’s Valentine’s day posts! Sharing all amazing ideas for Valentine’s day, including crafts, DIY, decorating, and recipes!
I have yet to share this little corner here with my new DIY table on the blog, but if you follow me on IG…then you probably saw that I was debating keeping this table…but I’m glad I did. I’ll be sharing more on how I updated this table next month…but today let’s talk about this pretty V’day centerpiece.
I went to Hobby Lobby last week and they were having a 50% sale on their baskets, I grabbed one of those, some floral stems and added them to the tabletop. I love the look of the dramatic large-scalable basket as a centerpiece. I think this is a nice way to add a dramatic touch, especially to a table without a light fixture above. It gives great height and scale to the space. I really wanted the look to feel more Valentine’s day then spring…so I decided to create some craft paper hearts and hang them from the stems. Since blush is a big color this year and more my taste than red I added my blush linen pillows to the side chairs to complete the look. This table is one of the first things you see when you walk into our house, so I love that it is a great subtle approach to Valentine’s day decor. It will also transition well to Spring which I most likely will start decorating for by end of February.
Now, I can’t wait to be inspired by all the other talented ladies on this blog hop, be sure to head on over to their blogs and see what other creative ideas you can gather for your Valentine’s Day home!
