European Farmhouse Essentials

The style of your home is something very unique and personal to you and your taste. What makes up our style? How do we achieve these looks? Maybe you’re not sure what your style is and are here for inspiration because you love the European Farmhouse home aesthetic too and want to learn how to recreate this look in your home. Besides for the architectural details there are other elements that I furnish my home with that contribute to the European Farmhouse design and I have rounded up a few staple items that I love to help you achieve this look in your home as well.

I love to bring the outdoors in and style my home with natural elements like large branches in a vase or pottery

I absolutely adore copper, it is so timeless and I believe it is the perfect finishing touch for a European kitchen.

The brass pot rail in my kitchen adds so much charm to the space and makes it feel authentic. My pot rail is from Devol but there are plenty of more affordable options on Etsy

I love to add a touch of black to add depth to a room and what better way to do that then with these moody portraits and paintings.

Adding pottery and artisan accents make a space feel collected

Using baskets to hide clutter and add texture to your space is European Farmhouse 101

A Madeleine Plaques Pan is essential to have in the European Farmhouse kitchen plus it doubles as décor when added to a dish rack display

Still life art pieces to add dimension and interest to a space. This is a great one that comes with a beautiful frame but if you are looking for a more affordable option I offer printable digital downloads of still life art from Lavender Lane Market.

I hope you enjoy and find this post helpful on how to get the European Farmhouse look you love in your home. Happy Shopping!

  2. Love your home! Its timeless and absolutely beautiful!! Can you tell me where you purchased your rug under the bed in this post? I’m currently replacing all the area rugs in our home and choosing rugs and paint colors have got to be the toughest for me!!!
