Summer Kitchen

Hey there friends, I’ve been feeling like I just needed some time to be creative today and so I pulled together some pretty vignette’s for a refreshing summer kitchen look. What inspired me were these fresh figs that I picked up from a local market and it was just what I needed for that little bit of inspo. I love how we can be inspired as creatives with the smallest bit of inspo such as fresh produce. That had me thinking about when my garden officially starts producing all the amazing cucumbers, tomatoes, and eggplant, but until then some fresh figs felt like the perfect summer touch to my kitchen.

I think creating a vignette is one of the most effective ways to satisfy that creative itch when on a budget and working with a small time frame. Sometimes we get lost in work, family, and the day to day, so creating a vignette can be just the way to refresh your home when you just don’t have the time for that big makeover or project.

I have been talking all about vignette styling in my design class “The Home Experience” this month and I truly believe it can be a learned skill that anyone can do. Gathering fresh items, and essential items with some of your favorite pretty finds can make a tabletop, bookcase, or kitchen counter come to life!

Create some fresh vignettes in your kitchen with your garden favorites for a fresh summer look too!
