What’s life without dreams? Be a Dreamer!
My husband and I have gotten the eye roll and “your crazy” speech quite a bit lately. After deciding to sell our house and purchase a foreclosure to update…we realized not everyone is willing to do what we have. We are totally okay with that! We know it may not be the practical decision, but we made the decision based on our dreams and prayers. We are always trying to move forward in life doing what other people are not willing to do. We like taking chances with prayer backing it up. We are what you would call dreamers! We dream of doing something and are willing to work as hard as we could for it. While Mr. SLL hustles at his 9-5, getting his masters, and working PT, and I’ve been working hard at accomplishing my dream as a full-time blogger that can financially support my family. As you all probably can see from my blog how passionate I am about home design and I want nothing more than to make my dreams a reality.
Enough talking about me, me, me…I want to know what is it that you are Dreaming about? Do you have dreams? I’ve thought a lot about dreams lately thanks to Jennifer Allwood. Are you familiar with her? She’s an amazing creative entrepreneur and she believes that dreams are a big part of our success. Of course, you need a goal to go along with your dream, but without dreams, we’ll just fall into the day to day routine without reaching for something more. Think about something you wish to do with your life or have (without being too greedy) now dream as though you can accomplish it. It is so possible and though not all dreams will always work out I guarantee you’ll find one or two that do. Not to mention maybe those dreams will lead to something else.
My husband always likes to say “be humble, be hungry”.
I’ll never forget when I was moving from my hometown at 15 I had a guy who moved to that town that I grew up in a few months prior. He knew how hard it was going to be for me to move. He somehow knew I think more than I even knew. You can read more about how I experience High School bullying after we had moved. Well, he wanted to encourage me and I’ll never forget the note he gave me with the famous quote “Shoot for the moon even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.” Well, that’s just how you have to live I believe. Don’t play it too safe, but dream and aim for that moon.
My lovely Aunt has been writing inspirational quotes for about a year now, and when I saw her back during Thanksgiving she gave me a few to look at. I told her how I thought making them into printables would be a great way not only to inspire people but also to get the dream of her WORDS on paper for others to see. So, I turned one into a printable and I somehow forgot about it…until I came across it today. It was one of the reasons I was inspired to write this post. I’ve been a dreamer my whole life and as we take this leap of faith to build our home and sell our current house, we are doing it again. Dreaming and putting that dream into reality. We know there will be bumps in the road, the house may not be perfect, the mortgage payment may be harder to pay, and my job as a blogger is still questionable. So those are risks we are willing to take to hopefully grasp our dreams, not to mention what having a new home will do for the blog. I hope this is something that inspires you and you can print out, give it to someone who is a dreamer, a student, a co-worker, or just hang it in your office to inspire you daily.
Thanks, Aunt Claudena for the words and inspiring others.

Thanks for the printable. I am so happy to hear that you are following your dreams, and willing to take chances to get there. This is so me, when I was singly, I often followed my dream. For the most part, it almost always wired out. Now that I am married, I cannot always get my husband to take chances. So go fòr it, and good luck!
