Christmas Home 2019

The tree glow, the smell of pine, and the endless Christmas music…it’s what the season is all about over here. I can’t get enough of it and I am looking forward to making a ton of memories and filling the season with every Christmas activity we could squeeze in this year. What’s your favorite Christmas pastime? I’d love to know, please share below!

Please come in, won’t you? I’ve shared a few looks so far with my daughter’s Christmas room, and our Christmas dining room. Today I’ll be sharing our Kitchen, family room, some of the pantry, and our Christmas bedroom. I have a few more bits of the home to share but I’m waiting on a few more touches and the right lighting. Thanks so much to Marty from a Stroll Thru Life for always inviting me on her amazing tours. I always feel not worthy of her tours, but some how she keeps asking me to come back and share so I am very grateful! If you are just stopping by from Christy’s exquisite home at Our Southern Home, welcome! Now, pour yourself a hot drink and stay a while…

The kitchen is the hub of our home. We spend all our time here and I plan on spending even more time here as we bake this season. I kept things simple on the island and with some touches of greenery throughout.
Oranges were part of plan B his year, when I realized how expensive pomegranates were. I used oranges as my fruit of choice last Christmas, but they are really a simple touch that you can add to a bowl or cascading on your counter. I also dried some oranges and placed them throughout the kitchen and dining room.
Also, I decided to fill my large bowl with some white linens and for some reason I just love how it looks.
My favorite touch to the kitchen were these wreaths I picked up and put on the diamond grid window.s. Unfortunately, they are hard to appreciate in the washed-out windows, but in person I just love them.
I hung the wreaths with a small picture frame nail and used some champagne ribbon
Yes, this is the only place the pomegranates made it. I wanted a more traditional feel here…I’m even thinking victorian?
Off of our kitchen is our butler’s pantry. I added a few Christmas mugs.
And the view of the pantry from the dining room side. These copper pots are my new LOVE!

Our family is off of our kitchen. I love the open conecept feel to our new house because everything is in one place. We can bake in the kitchen and still watch Christmas movies on the TV. The real show-stopper is this amazing 9 ft tree, from Tree Classics. It fits just perfectly in this spot!

Onto the family room, I hung some cedar garland and stocking for a simple touch to our narrow mantel.
Our amazing 9 ft tall Christmas tree, was the perfect size for this corner. I partnered with Tree Classics and they so came through. I was afraid we weren’t going to find the right width but this for real, was made for this corner!
I kept the tree pretty simple, I don’t love a really fussy tree…but I will say I added even more ornaments on the tree after I snapped my photos. A 9 ft tree certainly requires quite a bit of ornaments. I kept with vintage blush ornaments, gold, mercury glass, and ribbon. The light I have on are some extra twinkle lights I added to the tree. It’s good for a bright day like when I took these photos.
Here’s the tree all lit-up..super cozy
off of the family room is our newly decorated Master bedroom. I just love the pop of red from this simple poinsettia against the green wallpaper.
I think the key to Christmas decorating in the bedroom is simplicity! I love a Christmas room, but I know no one really sees it but myself. So, to not break the bank a tree and some simple greenery is the way to go. And some stockings ; )
This tree is also a Tree Classics tree. I love how sparse it is…makes for a perfect tree with no decorations. The glow at night and on a cloudy day is amazing!

Alright, now head on over to the other amazing tours this season. So much talent I am always blown away! Next up… Heather from A Setting for Four

  1. Oh my Deb, your home is breathtaking, charming, ethereally beautiful. Thank you for sharing the most delightful Christmas decorating I have seen yet this year. Cheers and Happy Holidays, Ardith

  2. So beautiful! I love how you’ve captured Christmas and the holiday season but not overdone. Very inspirational for me as always. One question the soap at your kitchen sink? Can you tell me all the specifics? Real, hand or dish and where did you purchase?

    1. Thank you so much Nicole! The soap is hand soap that I got a while ago from Homegoods…I’m talking years! I just keep it as decoration. You can buy French soaps on Etsy though that have the same shape.

  3. Your home is beautiful and I love the festive Christmas decorations! Just perfect! Merry Christmas!

  4. Deb, I don’t even know where to start! Your style is very European which equates to simple, practical and useful. I don’t see baskets or dough bowls of pillows sitting everywhere which is probably one thing that drives me nuts the most about current trends I see. Your style is clean and livable. I absolutely adore it all. I think the photo of the pantry from the diningroom is the prettiest photo I hAve laid my eyes on this season. Well done dear girl! Bravo! ????????????????

  5. It’s all so gorgeous Deb! I love the greenery everywhere and those wreaths on your stunning kitchen windows! your black mantel with the greenery and red stockings is so beautiful!! Love it all!

  6. Very beautiful and such great attention to detail! You’ve definitely inspired me. May I ask where you purchased your kitchen faucet? I’ve been looking for a bridge faucet and I love the finish on yours. Thanks!

    1. Thank you so much! Our faucet is from Fergusons, it’s from the Rohl brand in unlacquered brass.

  7. The shelf curtains – did you make them? Fabric used? How did you hang them?
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. I used a curtain rod and attached to the base. The curtains I picked up from Target, and they were the perfect size.

  8. Absolutely stunning. Every single room and detail is amazing. I love your style and your Christmas tour is full of tons of inspiration. So pretty. Thanks so much for joining the tours again this year.

  9. It looks so beautiful. You have achieved such a soothing aesthetic in your home, it is perfect for the holidays. Loved seeing your tour! Have a great Christmas! XO, Amy
