Fall Home Décor 2021

Over the years I have done many tours here of fall decorating and many seasonal decor blog hops. I remember thinking wayy back how important they were and how excited they were to be asked to be part of a group of other bloggers to share my home linked up to their blogs. Its still just as beneficial to bloggers, but since time and being exhausted from so much that comes with preparing and following up from the posts…I’ve decided to not continue to do so. I have shared an IG stories blog hop the past year and shared my tour today on Instagram with a few other Instagram accounts, but I am keeping it simple here this year. I hope that you find the simple subtle touches to our fall home inspiring and welcoming.

We just added these unlacquered brass outlet plates to our marble.

What are a few fall decorating decisions I chose to do for fall 2021?

  • Natural elements- fruits and dried flowers
  • warm colors
  • textures
  • and items that are versitile throughout the year to not feel like I am doing an entire overhaul.
This moody dish towel will be coming to the shop this week, I just love it!

One thing I noticed when other “designers” decorate seasonally is that they don’t do much…they really keep it simple let the home still feel like a home and add just a few touches that transition that new season well in the home.

I think what I love the most about the fall season in our home is that a lot of the warm tones are exaggerated with more warm textures and accents, and adding more dark contrast too.

Truly it was about keeping it simple and accenting what was already here. The glow of the sun and subtle touches certainly make our home feel cozy for fall.

Shop these dried floral and more from my European Farmhouse collection with “From Susie” shop!

  1. You are so talented that I have to admit when you show photos of your house, I kind of study them. I love your style so much, and I am really impressed with the way you put decor together, especially your use of color; you put different colors together in your decor that I wouldn’t necessarily realize would go together so nicely. I have seen some bloggers put together mood boards for potential rooms ranging in overall cost; if you ever have the time, I would so love if you would do some as I believe it would guide others including myself.
