You guys, this year has been a year so unexpected! If someone told me 10 years ago I would live in a camper for 10 months and build my dream home, be on a TV show, and work from home doing what I love. I would never believe them. I am thankful to God for the blessing 2018 has been even with all it’s trials and turbulence. We can honestly say we learned so much from this year and it prepared us and molded us once again as a couple and family. We know our kids will definitely never forget the year they lived in a camper and I am grateful for that. I hope they also remember the tough times when we couldn’t shower because of either really cold water and a frozen hose and watching their now home go from a construction zone to a warm and cozy place. God showed us a lot this year and without our faith it would have been a lot harder. So, with a year in the most memorable books I am sharing what was most popular here on Seeking Lavender Lane. What grabbed your attention the most and inspired you. 2019 I have some BIG goals, hoping to settle into our home and really make Seeking Lavender Lane a place where you are inspired more and feel at home. Please share below your most favorite post of 2018 and what you would love to see here in 2019. This year my friend Cami, from Tidbits rounded up a bunch of us bloggers and together we are sharing our TOP posts of 2018! A great way to see some of the best trends and projects of the year all in one post. Be sure to check out all the links at the bottom of the post.
#10 How to Prep Your Cabinets to Paint
This renovation at the beginning of 2018 was all done on a budget. I tackled another painted kitchen project an it was well worth it since the Kitchen now looks updated and out of the 70’s.
I was so eager to share this post with you all, so I am so glad you enjoyed it! Selecting Kitchen Cabinets was probably one the moments I was most excited for. See our Rendering and design board for our kitchen here.
Before we moved I did one final seasonal tour and that was our Farmhouse Spring Decorating tour. It was a fun tour to do because I knew it would be the last of my decorating of our house.
Thank you all for following us all on this journey this year, it all started here as we introduced you to Weeping Willow Home with a video of the Before Walk Through. I am shocked when I watch this back myself, what a difference!
I shared some beautiful finds from Christmas Tree shop with Affordable Farmhouse Decor. Their new line Grainhouse really had some affordable pieces to decorate with for that Farmhouse style.
I loved doing this Kitchen makeover for my MIL. She bought a new house last year and this was the perfect makeover to freshen up the outdated retirement home on a small budget.
So, this was our first ever project in our new home. Well, I guess you can say at our new home. While construction was going on and we were camping out on our property we wanted the kids to have a place to play with friends. The playground that was on our property when we bought it just needed a little fixing up and some paint. So we updated it once again on a budget and what an amazing difference it made!
And who can forget our Before and AFTER of our RV, with flooring! The floors made all a difference and you can see the entire BEFORE photos in this post too.
I love a well designed home and I believe you can create this on every type of budget. Follow along here and join me for more seasonal inspiration, trend alerts, DIY , vintage styling, and our newest project, The Mountain Chateau.
